Eagles Nest Road Trips: Back Road to Kelowna

From Peachland Eagles Nest 33 minutes, one way, to Hwy 97 just west of the Kelowna bridge. Drive 25 km.

 

This is a route I take when I want a leisurely drive through the agricultural area of West Kelowna. Often, I take it back home to Peachland if I want to avoid the traffic on Hwy 97. I am not sure if it is faster, but it is beautiful and much more relaxing.

Peachland: This route takes you down the hill and into the village. You will be on Beach Ave. and this will take you along the lake for 4 Klm. You will eventual turn right onto Hwy 97 and proceed north up the hill, under the overpass and take the Glenrosa exit (across from Gorman’s lumber mill) and then turn right onto Gellatly Rd.

Peachland Beach Ave.

Gellatly Rd: This road takes you along the lake, through orchards, and vineyards. There are many places to eat along the way and most of the West Kelowna wineries are along this road.
